Dear
PES Registered Service Dealer,
Continuing from last season, we are pleased to inform you of a major
change that will affect how your business achieves factory mandated
update compliance for the PES products you service. Reduction in
your travel/labor burdens has been achieved through implementation
of a bi-yearly liveupdate schedule. As you review the seminar locations
on the 2008 schedule, you will note that “live” PES
update seminar dates/locations have been established for approximately
half of our geographical territory. From these lists (“live
and remote”), please find the town-listing closest to you
and follow instructions below for applicable registration requirements/procedure:

IF
YOU ARE WITHIN THE “LIVE” UPDATE LOCATIONS:
-
Register and attend the “live” PES Update Seminar
closest to you.
-
Participation in a live update fulfills factory compliance for
the season.
IF YOU ARE WITHIN THE “REMOTE” UPDATE LOCATIONS:
-
Register for the “2008 Remote Update Packet” which
will contain 2008 product service and update information…
as well as
compliance materials for dealer staff to review/complete. Cost
of the material and handling fee is $40.00. It is expected that
these packets will be assembled/mailed from PES in early 2008.
-
Return date sensitive compliance materials (test and response
forms) that are included in this packet. These will allow you
meet
factory update compliance requirements for each product line.
You will be credited $30.00 upon return of the completed
compliance verification. The total cost to update “remotely”
this year is $10.00/packet.
-
You will receive credit for attending the update school once the
compliance requirements are returned to PES.
IF YOU ARE WITHIN THE STATE OF ALASKA
-
Scheduling for bi-yearly “live-updates” within the
State of Alaska will be arranged and released in early 2008.
- The
PES “remote update” can not be used two years in a
row. Factory mandated, yearly update compliance is in effect…
and every other year in your area, that update will be achieved
“live”. All locations in the “2006 tentative
live” list are tentative, and therefore availability next
season is subject to change or deletion. We encourage you to “play
it safe” and go “live” in 2008 whenever possible.
So far, this change has been well received by dealerships . However,
please do not hesitate to contact us with questions or concerns.
The input you
have shared has enabled implementation of this update format change.
Your future input will assist us in continuing to serve you better.
