This year Power Equipment Systems will be offering three different
test series: OPEESA (formally EETC and OPE), KOHLER EXPERT TECHNICIAN,
and TECUMSEH MASTER TECHNICIAN. Your dealer level for Tecumseh and
Kohler will determine which of these tests need to be taken to achieve
or maintain your listing status.
OPEESA (formally EETC and OPE): Power Equipment will be offering
the full OPEESA Certification test series which include Basic Four
Cycle, Basic Two Cycle, Compact Diesel, Drivelines & Hydraulic,

series for the industry. To register for these tests complete the
enclosed registration and return to the OPEESA with registration
fee, or contact your Power Equipment Territory Representative or

status, dealership must have a technician who has successfully completed
the EETC/OPEESA Four-Cycle Test and the Tecumseh Master Technician
(TMT) Test. The fee for the TMT test is $45.00 and consists of one

Each test has a cost of $35.00. Recertification tests (90 questions
based on last three years update material) are $25.00. Recertification
is required on a three-year basis.
As done in the past, PES continues support of our dealers and technician
certification by bringing testing to an update location near you
-AND- to the syllabus of both Kohler and Tecumseh Four-Day training
courses. Time has been allotted after each PES Update Seminar for
ONE TEST (two hours), and on the fourth day afternoon of Four Day
courses for TWO TESTS (four hours). Certification testing registration
IS SEPARATE from PES seminar and course registration. Test preregistration
with prospective vendor is mandatory. PES can only administer certification
testing to individuals who have appropriately complied with test
registration requirements. Pre-registration should be completed
three weeks prior to test location/date. Testing for "Drop-ins"
is not possible.
